The table below lists the 10 hospitals ranked highest for urology in the Fudan specialty reputation ranking, with the city each is in. Chinese PLA General Hospital holds the top position. The list spans Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Shanghai and 2 more, which matters more than it looks: a hospital an hour from a relative is a different proposition from one three flights away, and for prostate, kidney and bladder cancer the difference shows up over months of follow-up rather than on the day of surgery.

The Fudan specialty ranking is a reputation survey: several thousand specialist physicians name the departments they would send a difficult case to.
